History of ISNS

ISNS was founded in 2002 by Dr. Francis Pang in partnership with the Government of Canada, Province of New Brunswick (www.gnb.ca) with the vision of embracing international education and a whole-child education philosphy.  Dr. Pang has a love for education and is committed to creating schools of the highest quality across China.  Formerly know as the “Sino-Canadian International School,” the name “International School of Nanshan Shenzhen” was adopted in 2009 when the school received its official accreditation from the Chinese government.  ISNS is one of four international schools and a fleet of Concord College of Sino-Canada (CCSC) campuses operated by the Pang family and its AKD corporation.  The goal of the AKD schools system is to foster a diverse student body by providing an exceptional education, instilling in young people a love and joy of learning, an ability to think independently, and the confidence to take risks in pursuing their dreams and goals.  All students who attend ISNS must hold a foreign (not Chinese) passport and meet certain English language requirements.

Many changes occurred at ISNS in 2016.  The school moved to its present new campus and was fully authorized to offer the IB  programs including the PYP, MYP and DP.  ISNS has since grown rapidly and develop an excellent reputation in Shenzhen and beyond as a top international school.
