All residents must sort their waste and place it in the appropriate disposal bins to be recycled or discarded. Please follow the instructions carefully that are listed below.
- Food waste should be dumped directly into the bin without a plastic bag.
- Please try to rinse out plastic containers and other items before placing them in the recycling bin.
- Please break down cardboard boxes to save space in the bins.
- Large item disposal is specific for different situation, but the truck will not collect bulky/large/heavy item such as UNWANTED LARGE furniture(big sofa, closet and etc. ) This kind of item is required to disposed separately by other chargeable service providers. Please contact GA for this service.
- Smaller items like suitcases or shoe racks can be placed near the blue bins for disposal. If not sure, please contact GA during business hours.
- Styrofoam can be disposed of in the regular recycle bins.
The bins are located on the driveway at level -1 behind the Residence Building:
One of our students has offered to collect recycling directly from each residence apartment and take it down to the waste disposal are for a small fee. Check with the Residence Committee for more information if you would like to utilize this service.
