Collaborative Meetings

A variety of meetings are held regularly which are essential to the operation of the school. These include full faculty meetings, leadership team meetings, section meetings, department and grade level meetings. Additional meetings for planning special events or dealing with important issues will be called as needed. Appointments should not be made which may affect attendance at any of these meetings. When a teacher works in two sections of the school he/she will be assigned one of the section meetings to attend at the discretion of the Divisional Administrator.

Regular school meetings are scheduled as follows:

  • Full faculty meeting led by administrators are held the first Wednesday of every month from 2:30-4:00pm.
  • Remaining Tuesdays of every month for Secondary department and/or Primary specific meetings as needed.
  • Grade Level or Horizontal meetings will take place once per week as fits teachers’ schedules.
  • IB specific meetings (PYP/MYP/DP) are held each Wednesday after early dismissal of students from 2:30pm-4:00pm.
  • The full Leadership Team (including HOS, principals, coordinators, department heads and counsellors) meet several times per year on Wednesdays.
  • Operations and Academic Leadership meetings take place on Wednesdays at 9:30am.
  • HOS, Principals and Coordinators meet Thursdays at 9:30am.
  • Administration meetings with the Executive Director take place at 1:00pm on Thursdays.

Anyone may request an invitation or be invited to all meetings as appropriate and within the bounds of confidentiality.

All formal meetings are required to have agendas and minutes. The administrator, coordinator or department head leading the meeting is responsible for keeping the official minutes filed digitally.
